A seven-run explosion in the first inning carried Santa Fe, FL to a 13-3 win in five innings over Hoquiam, WA at Field four on Friday.

Santa Fe, FL scored in the first on , an RBI single by Jolie Watson, an RBI single by Christyan "Porkchop" Wetherington, a steal of home by Drew Wrask, a fielder's choice, a passed ball, and an RBI single by Taniah Bowers.

Bowers was hot from the plate for Santa Fe, FL. Bowers went 3-4, drove in one and scored three runs.

Sarah McQuatters got the win for Santa Fe, FL. She allowed three runs over four innings. She struck out four, walked three and surrendered two hits.

Payton Parshall ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. She allowed 11 runs in four innings, walked three and struck out two.

Hoquiam, WA jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the first. Kylee Bagwell started the rally for Hoquiam, WA with a single. The scoreboard lit up again for Hoquiam, WA when Cox scored on a steal of home and Bagwell scored on a passed ball.

Santa Fe, FL added four more runs in the bottom of the fourth. A passed ball scored Bowers to get Santa Fe, FL on the board in the inning. That was followed up by Wrask's single, scoring Watson.
