As announced last September, Sports Illustrated Play’s Online Registration and League Management System (known as BabeRuthLeague.org powered by Sports Illustrated Play) has completely taken the place of Babe Ruth Online.
It was clear to Babe Ruth League that Babe Ruth Online was not keeping up with other online services; therefore, we decided to partner with a company that already has the world-class features that are vital to make member participation and league management easier. Sports Illustrated Play’s proprietary software integrates public websites, online registration, roster management, communications features with text messaging, statistics, scheduling and a host of other automated features, robust tools and services, including, free setup and support, League and Club stores, mobile app for complete team management (TeamWALL), integrated background checks (KidsSafePlus)(optional), tournament bracketing, and much more.
Leagues’ Babe Ruth Online accounts are no longer available. Any saved links from such Babe Ruth Online accounts will not function properly, especially when it comes to online registration and roster management.
Per Babe Ruth League Rules, team rosters and a schedule shall be filed with Babe Ruth League, Inc., as well as District and State Commissioners, on or before the league’s first regularly scheduled game. The roster upload template included with Babe Ruth League.org powered by Sports Illustrated Play has been changed to make team creation and roster submission a seamless process.
2016 LOCAL LEAGUE ROSTER UPLOAD PROCESS

- Leagues that are NOT using BabeRuthLeague.org powered by Sports Illustrated Play for online registration must submit their rosters using a CSV, or comma separated value, file.
- Before submitting your rosters, please review the Pre-upload Checklist. This will assist in eliminating errors during your roster upload.

IMPORTANT REMINDER - Beginning with the 2016 season, Babe Ruth League is implementing a Tournament Team Administration Fee to help offset the cost of the Official Tournament Trail leading to the Cal Ripken Baseball World Series, Babe Ruth Baseball World Series, and Babe Ruth Softball World Series. Tournament Fees will be $25 per team for Cal Ripken, 13-15 and Babe Ruth Softball, with $75 per team being charged for 16-18 teams. Tournament fees will only be charged for competition that concludes with World Series competition.
Early planning for the 2016 tournament season will ease the process. In the very near future, we will provide all leagues with instructions on how to sign up for tournament competition, pay the tournament team administration fee and submit tournament rosters. Payments shall be made by e-check or credit card; no paper checks will be accepted.
For the tournament levels that do not conclude with a World Series, leagues will still be required to sign up, but will NOT have to submit a tournament team administration fee.
The option to create, submit, and purchase I.D. Cards will be available after a league has created their tournament team rosters.
We at home plate are proud of the new BabeRuthLeague.org powered by Sports Illustrated Play. It is the fastest, most convenient, league management system available today. Sports Illustrated Play has reached out to you or last year's President with information on how to create an account. If you have not received any information, please contact Sports Illustrated Play's Support Department.
