It is a fact that you can achieve almost anything
if you give recognition to people where it
is due. Recognition of excellence is one of
the most important skills available to you
in business, and in life in general. Appreciation
makes that which is excellent in others belong
to all of us.
Success is not a static condition. It is not
a stabilized permanent state of achievement.
Success is the accomplishment of goals and
objectives necessary to achieve particular
tasks for a particular period of time. Success
is the progressive realization of a worthy
ideal. Babe Ruth leagues know this and continue
to improve upon their local league programs
year after year. We, at Babe Ruth Headquarters,
recognize it is your dedication and your individual
leagues success that makes this organization
the quality program that it is for the youth
of our nation. Our international success is
in direct correlation to the day to day efforts
you invest in your home programs, and by the
measure of our annual accomplishments, each
of you is doing a phenomenal job! We thank
you.
In 1951, ten men, who believed that the future
of their community depended upon the proper
development of young people, formed the Hamilton
Township Little Bigger Baseball League, the
forerunner of Babe Ruth League, Inc. From
a modest one-league start in 1951, we have
grown to a program that today boasts nearly
1,000,000 participants. As we have said many
times, the Babe Ruth organization has the
best volunteers of any youth sports program.
Therefore, we offer our appreciation and recognition
to our over 1,800,000 volunteers for this
great success.
The 2003 season is well underway, and our
primary focus is on the local league and providing
the best possible experience for every player.
Babe Ruth League, Inc.s mission has always
been the betterment of the youth of our country.
As a team, we strive to develop better citizens
through proper supervision of regulation competitive
baseball and softball, in addition to promoting
mental and physical development.
The league personnel are some of the most
vital volunteers in Babe Ruth League, Inc.
They deal directly with the most important
member in the Babe Ruth program the participant.
We wish to take this opportunity to give thanks
and recognition to the many Babe Ruth League
programs who are celebrating their 50th Anniversary

with each other. Each values and respects
the other. This has been our formula for success
in Babe Ruth League, Inc. It is a proven method,
and, with your continued assistance and teamwork,
it will continue to flourish for many more
years to come. All of our volunteers deserve
a big pat on the back for a job well done!
