Babe Ruth League, Inc. would like to personally thank Banquet of Champions Guest Speakers George Foster (Cal Ripken 10’s) and Bobby Richardson (16’s), who were a “hit” with everyone in attendance with their clever wit and captivating messages. Both George and Bobby had fabulous careers in the majors.

Five other World Series sites officially opened their Headquarters this past weekend:

Softball 12U – Cherry Hill, New Jersey
Softball 16U – Varina, Virginia
Cal Ripken – Aberdeen, Maryland
13-15 – Abbeville, Louisiana
16-18 – Newark, Ohio

Look for my next message, which will list the participating teams and game results for the above sites.

Last, but not least, I would like to thank the many Host Families, who have opened up, or will be opening up, their homes to our World Series participants. And to every player who will have the unique privilege of staying in a host family home, you are in for one of the best experiences of your lifetime! And to all of you, HAVE FUN!!
