WORLD SERIES RESULTS
CONGRATULATIONS!
The 2005 season has officially ended and
many memorable experiences were shared by
all. The season went out with a boom, culminating
with Babe Ruth League, Inc.’s nine “Summer
Classics”, familiarly known as the World Series.
Each World Series featured nail-biting competition,
thrilling pitching duels, hot bats, amazing
plays and broken records.
There were many lasting friendships initiated
between the Host Families and their World
Series adopted players for the week. In fact,
many of the participants return to visit their
adopted parents long after the tournament
has ended. The Host Family program is one
of the most positive aspects of the Babe Ruth
Baseball and Softball tournament trail experience.
Host Families play a major role in the success
of our tournaments at all levels of play.
Babe Ruth League, Inc. is extremely proud
of its Host Family plan, and is grateful to
those who open their homes to our players
participating in the tournament trail.
The World Series participants all left with
great memories of their trip to the World
Series. New friendships were formed, competitive
baseball and softball was experienced and
each had their cultural experience expanded.
Youth baseball and softball fans filled the
bleachers to provide a positive atmosphere
for their young heroes, who clearly enjoyed
being the center of attention. The only complaint
heard was that “it all went by too quickly”.
Babe Ruth League, Inc. sincerely congratulates
each and every player who had the opportunity
to participate in the 2005 World Series. You
were all champions, both on and off the field!
We also offer our thanks to the hosting communities
of each World Series. The host families and
the many volunteers who worked so diligently
to help our young players realize their dreams
deserve special thanks for providing them
with cherished memories they will never forget
the rest of their lives. As I have said many
times, Babe Ruth League, Inc. has the most
dedicated volunteers – this was made clearly
evident during the World Series competitions.
Thank you for helping make our program a success
each year. It is only through your care and
great concern for the youth of our nation
that this is made possible.
