RIPKEN BASEBALL TO HOST
COACHING CLINIC
AT THE BALTIMORE CONVENTION CENTER
Ripken Baseball will be hosting an interactive
coaching clinic for coaches, parents and
baseball enthusiasts at the Baltimore
Convention Center on Saturday,
January 27, 2007. The clinic will
feature instruction from Cal Ripken,
Jr., and one of the game’s best
instructors, Bill Ripken.
Rotate through 3 break-out sessions with
the pros: Hitting instruction from current
NY Yankees Hitting Coach, Don Mattingly;
Pitching instruction from Orioles greats
Jim Palmer and Scott
McGregor; Fielding instruction from
former Oriole Doug DeCinces,
and demonstrations from several other special
guests. This one-of-a-kind Ripken
Coaching Experience is not to be
missed!
The clinic begins at 2:00 p.m. with an introduction
to “The Ripken Way” and continues with participants
rotating through three break-out sessions:
Hitting, Fielding and Pitching. All learning
directly from the pros! Throughout the sessions,
question and answer periods are held to
allow interaction clarification on specific
points of interest. The day concludes at
6:00 p.m.
The cost is $149 per person; however, Ripken
Baseball is offering a $30 discount to all
Babe Ruth coaching personnel for an admission
fee of only $119 per person.
In addition, you’ll also receive FREE SATURDAY
ADMISSION to Baseball’s Best 2007 – an unforgettable
sports collectible and memorabilia weekend
event featuring several current and former
Oriole greats. Join first-time Hall of Fame
eligible Cal Ripken, Jr. and Tony Gwynn,
members of the 1983 World Champion Orioles,
Hall of Famers and many more!
As many of you know, Babe Ruth League, Inc.
has the highest regard for Cal Ripken, Jr.,
which was made evident by the renaming of
our youth baseball division from the Bambino
Division to Cal Ripken Baseball, a Division
of Babe Ruth League, Inc. Cal Ripken, Jr.
and Babe Ruth League, Inc. share a common
vision – to provide every youngster the
opportunity to play baseball and have fun.
What we have discovered is that Cal Ripken,
Jr. didn’t just lend his name. He and his
brother Bill get involved. As they have
indicated to me many times, they cannot
find a more important or rewarding role
than what they are doing now. They are giving
back to the game at its most important level,
the kids.
Registration for the clinic is available
on-line at www.ripkenbaseball.com
or by calling 1-800-486-0850 to speak with
a representative from Ripken Baseball.
