Paul Sayevich

1977

Babe Ruth League President/CEO Steven Tellefsen said, "Paul Sayevich has been involved with our program for over 20 years.  He is a very dedicated volunteer and plays a major role in the success the organization enjoys today.  It is a proud moment to have a person of his caliber inducted into the Hall of Fame."

Mr. Sayevich devoted nearly 20 years to Metro New York Babe Ruth Program. During this time, he volunteered in numerous positions involved with the organization. Like a majority of the other Hall of Fame members, Sayevich started as Local League President of Copiague where he was instrumental in forming the Copiague Youth Inc. and Girls Softball from 1957 to 1961. Over the years, he began to climb the ladder of positions. In 1963, he became Assistant State Director of NY. From 1963 to 1976 he held the District 1 Director, State Director, and State Commissioner positions.

For his long dedicated service, Paul Sayevich was inducted into the Babe Ruth Hall of Fame in 1977.
