J. Russell Lacy

J. Russell Lacy was a charter member of the Board of Directors of Babe Ruth Baseball.  He was director of finance for the Little Bigger League, and interim program for boys between the ages of 13-15 years old was brought into existence for boys between Little League and American Legion Jr. Baseball.  It later became Babe Ruth Baseball when it was founded in 1951.

     In addition to the Board of Directors, he was also served as the Treasurer, Secretary of the National Board of Directors, Chairman of Finance Committee, Chairman of Insurance Committee, Member of Executive Committee.  He was also instrumental in getting Coco Cola to sponsor the program on a nationwide basis.

     Mr. J. Russell Lacy was inducted into the Babe Ruth Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974.
