Babe Ruth League President/CEO Steven Tellefsen said, "Leonard Cutler has been involved with our program for over years.  He is a very dedicated volunteer and plays a major role in the success the organization enjoys today.  It is a proud moment to have a person of his caliber inducted into the Hall of Fame."

Cutler was dedicated to the success of the Babe Ruth Program in North Carolina. His persistent and active involvement in the expansion of the program resulted in a perpetual growth of Babe Ruth Baseball in New Bern and throughout the state of North Carolina

Leonard was responsible for bringing 7 leagues into the program. He was also responsible for the formation of the minor league and Prep League at Seymour Johnson Babe Ruth League. His district was the host for the first 16-18 State Tournament. He was tournament director for second 13 year old state tournament held in North Carolina. His involvement in every facet of Babe Ruth in North Carolina ensured constant growth and improvements.

For his pioneering of Babe Ruth in North Carolina, Leonard O. Cutler was inducted posthumously into the Babe Ruth Hall of Fame in 1977.
