Babe Ruth League President/CEO Steven Tellefsen said, "Russ Harper has been involved with our program for over 20 years. He is a very dedicated volunteer and plays a major role in the success the organization enjoys today. It is a proud moment to have a person of his caliber inducted into the Hall of Fame."
People of Alabama, and the Southeast as a whole, are very happy to nominate Russ Harper into the Babe Ruth Hall of Fame. The time and devotion Russ has unselfishly given to the Babe Ruth Program for all ages has been tremendous, therefore Russ is very deserving of this honor. After 10 years of a successful career as Alabama 16-18 State Commissioner, Harper will step down and accept the nomination into the Hall of Fame.
